    Betsy is such a knowledgeable, caring, fun person. She really knows what she is talking about and really encourages and pushes me to do my best! She has helped me with nutrition which is where I struggle the most!

    Betsy is amazing! She’s amazing at developing customized workouts based on age, physical issues, fitness goals and any other factor.   • Direction.

    Before I met Betsy, I was just going through the motions with my exercise and diet. I had a goal to become healthier, but had no direction on how to get there. Betsy has given me direction in a down to earth and easy to follow format. Our sessions are always fun, even during Burpees. 😊 I am constantly blown away with her knowledge and can count on her expert opinion. As I am blaming her for my “delayed onset muscle soreness,” I am thanking her for continuing to help me become a heathier version of myself.

    I love working with Betsy. I have worked with virtual trainers in the past and haven't found someone more knowledgeable than she is! Betsy truly cares about the success and progress of her clients and is always available to answer my fitness and nutrition questions. She does a great job working with the equipment I have to provide new and challenging workouts, all within my 30-minute time limit. As a working parent, finding someone who can help you get results with a short workout window is truly rare!

  • Purpose.

    Having Betsy as my personal trainer has been awesome! Working out with her feels more like hanging out AND getting a great workout. She's super chill and easy to chat with, so every session is just fun.

    But it's not all fun, Betsy knows her stuff. She's a total nutrition and human biology guru. She'll explain how each exercise affects all other parts of the body and will customize the workout just for me, or work out the kinks if my body is not cooperating! There is a specific purpose to each plan she builds and I appreciate that it's just for me and my health goals!

    I can’t give Betsy Anderson enough praise for her approach to training and her knowledge. I’m 46 years old and have been lifting weights in one form or another since I was 14 years old. However, as I got older, my approach wasn’t working and I was having lots of injuries and was getting much heavier. I love how she understands that my needs as a 46-year old Dad are VERY different than my needs playing football in high school and college. When I ask questions, I get explanations that make sense. After she explains stuff to me, I usually say something like “I didn’t think about that but it makes total sense!” I would send ANYONE who is trying to become more physically capable to Betsy Anderson with ZERO hesitation. If my kids needed training, I am calling Betsy. If my Dad were here, I would send him to Betsy. The results speak for themselves: I am as light as I have been in a decade, my A1C is down, and I have dropped a couple of pant sizes.

  • Flexible.

    I used to be an in-person client of Betsy’s but I now live a nomadic lifestyle which means I am not in one place long enough to join a gym or develop a relationship with an in-person trainer. I missed working with Betsy so much that when I was back home for some routine appointments, I contacted Betsy to discuss some options around Personal Training. She had suggested doing Virtual Training over Zoom or FaceTime (and I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical), but I was surprised how much I enjoy them! To add complexity to the situation, I have very limited equipment since I have to be able to fit my entire life in a small vehicle. Betsy has been able to adapt easily but also successfully keep me engaged and challenged for every session! I truly feel that I am getting similar benefits from these Virtual Training sessions as I did when she and I met in person. Even though we are hundreds of miles apart (and often in different time zones), I feel encouraged, supported and my form is still corrected when needed. She continues to inquire about my nutrition and offers support for changes and continued improvement. I look forward to our twice-a-week workouts and am very pleased with the results I am achieving with Betsy’s guidance. I am forever grateful to her for her creative approaches to helping me meet my health and fitness goals!

  • Educational.

    I learned about Betsy Anderson through my Personal Trainer. While I have made great strides with him, he knew that for me, the missing piece to better health was developing better eating habits. That has always been a struggle for me; I had high metabolism and could eat A LOT. I never really learned about nutrition, had horrible eating habits (mostly sweets), and never even thought about a connection between my eating, my overall physical health, vitality and well-being.

    My trainer assured me that Betsy was highly credentialed, and extremely skilled in helping people achieve better health outcomes. He couldn’t have been more right; Betsy helped me develop goals that would lead to a far better quality of life.

    There are many facets to how Betsy has helped me:

    - Giving me small starting points (so as to not overwhelm me). The accountability as well as the insights helped me get off to a good start. As I developed new, better habits, we’d look at what else might be an area to explore.

    - Teaching me that there is a link between my cravings, food choices, and stress level. She got me to realize that when my body has the ‘right fuel’ in it, I can get to where I don’t even have those cravings!

    - Teaching me great alternatives to decadent and other ‘garbage foods’. I still enjoy them at times, but really, they don’t even appeal to me as much, and a taste or small portion is all I even want!

    - Holding me accountable but also stressing that she isn’t looking for perfection. She is well aware that ‘life happens’ and can derail me for the moment. But she doesn’t judge me, we get back to work, and I get back on track.

    - Teaching me so much about the body, how it works and helping to understand why I may be experiencing some symptoms. I’m sometimes on antibiotics for respiratory issues, and she’s helped me realize how they work (and how they mess with my gut health). She also figures out how to alter my supplements to replenish it.

    Betsy takes her work very seriously and wants me to do well and feel well. She genuinely cares about me and my progress, encouraging me when needed, and gently kicking my butt when warranted. She figures out what pieces of the puzzle may need her attention and uses her ‘scary smart’ brain to get me closer to making the pieces fit. At 67, I know I need to pay close attention to my health. She doesn’t do it for me, but I’m well aware she’s in it WITH me … and that makes the journey much better and more hopeful. For the most part I feel better than ever, equipped with more energy, better sleep, and far better patterns established. I am forever grateful.
